When my 2014 1K started knocking most the noise was from the other side of the motor where the cam chain is located. Mine was a failed oil pump with 20hrs on the RZR! This was caused by the input bearing being shot. I don't believe there should be a noise when the clutch is disengaged.

If the knocking is coming from the left side while running, the only thing I can think of off hand in that area is the stator. It has been known for someone to replace a stator and not put Loctite on the screws and have the stator come loose. It can then rattle around a bit. WebSep 3, 2016 · Roll it on a flat surface. Does it roll smoothly or does it sort of lope along. If bent, replace it. If rolling smoothly then put it back in the center-case and remount the side casing.
