WebThe symptoms produced by these transfusion reactions are often similar, beginning with chills, fever, shaking, and aching. Some transfusion reactions are mild and resolve by themselves (e.g., FNHTR) whereas others can develop into a life-threatening reaction (e.g., acute hemolytic transfusion reaction).
